News: Season Ender Results

Congratulations to everyone that played in our season ender tournament.  We had a great turnout and over all it was a pretty good day to play some Disc Golf.  Advanced division played a modified version of Klaus park with some alternate tee pads, additional monitories and OB's, and a island hole.  In total 11 of the holes were modified.  The Intermediate division also played 7 of the modified holes.  Everyone that played received a disc and a mini.

2008 Season Ender Tournament

The 2008 JDG Season Ender Tournament will be held Sunday October 19th.
Players meeting at Klaus Park 11am Play will start thereafter with a break between rounds to allow travel time and a quick food grab.

The plan is for the first round of 18 to be played at Klaus Park.
(Advanced players will have alternate tees)

Followed by a second round of 18 (Island holes only) at the Reservoir.
(Some holes will have alternate tees for Recreational players)

Entry fee is $10.00 for Advanced, Intermediate divisions and $5.00 for Recreational, and Junior Divisions. If we have enough Lady throwers we will have a womens division at $5.00.

For those of you that attended the Spring Opener and recall the general layout that's about the same this time. A few other holes will be altered. However the general theme remains. Hoping to see you there!

Bring your own bottle, Hardees will be donating free orange drink but you have to have your own container.

Rock 30 will be sponsoring the event. 
The Jamestown Department of Tourism has agreed to donate gift certificates good at any business in Jamestown.
The movie theater has agreed to donate movie tickets for prizes.

News: Jam the dam disc golf tournament Sunday August, 17

The Jamestown tourism department has asked that twe host a tournament at the Island during their annual Jam the Dam event so we have begun the planning. Here are the details we have so far:

Jam the dam disc golf tournament
Sunday August, 17
Registration Begins at 10 am
Players Meeting at 10:45 with play starting at 11.

Divisions: Rec. – 18 holes with alternate tee pads (each rec group will have a local person who knows where the alternate tee pads are to avoid any confusion)
Adv. – at least one round of the “island 18” holes, possibly more as we finalize details

We want to keep the entry fee low, I think we are planning for $10 but this may changes as we finalize sponsors.

Every paid participant will be entered to win a raffle for an Innova Skill shot basket donated by Gun & Reel. Everyone that participates will have an equal chance of winning this basket.

We are still working on finalizing the sponsors but Rock 30 has once again generously agreed to sponsor the event. A couple of other organizations in Jamestown have also expressed interest in sponsoring the event.

We are working on a few other things; I will post more when we have finalized them.
